The Pats Grease The Wheels To Get Me In To School

Posted by Yukon Fox On April - 22 - 2010

Patriots.com - The New England Patriots will team with the National Football League (NFL) to give a $1 million unrestricted gift to the Center for the Study of Traumatic Encephalopathy (CSTE) at Boston University School of Medicine to support the Center’s research.

So if you didn’t know already Yukon Fox accepted the groveling of Boston University to attend there institution in the fall. I will be packing my bags from Loisaida and moving to Beantown. I’d like to think I got accepted based on my own merits but its good to know my friends over in Foxboro want me in Boston so bad for the ’10 season that they made a small donation to help get me there. Thank you Mr. Kraft and Mr. Goodell.

P.S. I do feel like I’m downgrading a little bit going from a Husky to a Terrier.

Tebow 2.0…Probably 1.5 Though

Posted by Yukon Fox On March - 17 - 2010

Maybe 1.5.1. So Tim Tebow is supposed to finally unveil his new throwing motion to NFL scouts today at Florida’s pro day. I just don’t understand the hype around his throwing motion. Its like the media loves building up as much anticipation as possible then being severely disappointed over and over again. His throwing motion is not going to change the fact that already his favorite pro play is the under center fumble. Even with the new motion he will be a late 2nd to 3rd rounder and probably will go to the Pats as a back up. Tebow do us a favor and just switch positions already. Hey the Patriots do need a back up quarterback but they could use a starting tight end even more. Oh what was that the top tight end in the country will be at the Florida pro day as well? So what, you know how Belichick loves his intangibles.

The Return of the General

Posted by Yukon Fox On February - 24 - 2010

Well it’s not as good as the return of a Super Bowl MVP caliber player but its good to see a familiar face from the dyanasty years back in a system he is comfortable with. He put up 3rd reciever type numbers in his career with New England and although it is 6 years later hopefully he still has the route running ability to fill up some holes. I like it. I think I may enjoy a cheeseburger on this one (Eat This!) Now if we only still had the law firm.

NFL Scouting Combine

Posted by Yukon Fox On February - 24 - 2010

Well barely a month has passed since the New Orleans Saints lifted the Lombardi Trophy (thank god it wasn’t the Indianapolis Peyton’s), but people were already looking to next season before the Reggie Bush had time to clean the champagne of Kim Kardashian’s tight end. The NFL Combine starts today and so begins the endless barage of draft boards and scouting reports, and I love every minute of it. Speculation is all alot of us have to hold on to going into the season. As a Patriots fan I wouldn’t know anything about holding on to false hopes of grandeur, but for many teams they use this time to seek out the illusion of  the diamond in the rough that will turn around their Sanchise franchise. We all know how this turns out every year. Al Davis will pick the fastest in the draft. The fattest will be a top 5 pick. And women will flock to Mel Kiper’s hair the like the salmon of Capistrano. I’m excited to see the hope in every ones eyes for the next year that is until they realize that Patriots are about to repeat as the team of the decade for the 10′s. Enjoy the next four days, it may be the only joy you get for the whole year. I’m talking to you Cleveland.
