Iti Field

Posted by The Incident On March - 1 - 2010

It seems as though the 2009 New York Mets aren’t the only thing falling apart. Their stadium, Citi Field, is starting to crumble as well. Back on January 25th, the 15-foot-long, 35-pound “C’ on the stadium’s center field “Citi Field” Sign came crashing down. Luckily there is no baseball being played in the month of January because once this piece hit the ground it shattered into a bunch of pieces. This piece of scaffolding could near crush someones skull. How’s that for a lawsuit. It would make the money that Bernie Madoff scammed from the Wilpon’s look like my five year old son’s piggy bank.  What am I talking about? I don’t have a five year old son, at least that I know of.  Debra he isn’t mine.  Anyway, hopefully the 2010 New York Mets have a stronger foundation than their building.  For more information on Citi Field, follow @citi_field_ny on twitter.

K-Rod has Pink Eye…Too Much Partying at the Shore

Posted by The Incident On February - 25 - 2010

Supposedly K-Rod from the Mets has pink eye.  Word on the street is that he’s been seen around the Jersey Shore hanging out with Vinny.  I guess this counts as a Mets injury.  You put your face in the wrong strippers butt crack and next thing you know the whole ballclub gets quarantined.  BTW, I searched for a pic for K-rod and everything that came up was about that show Krod Mangoon, so I thought I’d just roll with it.

Here we go again…Your 2010 NY Mets…Nevermind still the 2009 Mets

Posted by The Incident On February - 18 - 2010

February 18, 2010 – First day of the 2010 season.  This is the day where pitchers and catchers report to spring training.  This is the day where the Mets put behind their embarassment of a 2009 season.  This is the day where the Mets start their quest to remind New York that the Yankees aren’t the only contenders in town.  The only problem was is that the 2010 season is starting off exactly the same way the 2009 season ended…injuries.

The first victim is Kelvim (btw what kind of name is Kelvim. Kevin thats a name.  We left Kevin home alone again?)  Before I jump to any conclusion, let me state that no official reports have said that he will miss time but lets look at the timeline.

So far, the word on the street was that Kelvim had been reporting discomfort in his right shoulder.  He is currently having trouble gripping the ball.   It wasn’t long before Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports reported that “Escobar can’t even grip a baseball right now, and there are concerns that he’s seriously injured”.  Kind of makes me feel glad that the New York front offices pursued a guy with this pitching resume:

  • 2007  – shoulder surgery
  • 2008 -  missed all of the season with same shoulder injury
  • 2009 -  pitched only 5 innings

Hey Mets front office, this isn’t the island in LOST.  No one gets healed like John Locke and can start walking again.  Who do the Mets have on their medical staff, Stevie Wonder and Gov. Patterson?  Maybe we can make a trade for JJ Putz, is it too late?

Over/Under 5 days before it comes out that he needs to already go on the DL

The Mets office, not Kelvim Escobar, need to Get a Grip
