March Madness Has Begun

Posted by Yukon Fox On March - 18 - 2010

What a whirlwind week we have on our hands at BPS. We have attended some amazing events such as Hockey at the Bowery Ballroom on Monday (hopefully Loisaida Sam will get off his Loisaida ass and do a write up about it) and survived another St. Patty’s Day yesterday. Well today is the start of “The Tourney” and while my team made the lesser known but equally as entertaining NIT, I will still be tuned in to as much of the action as allowed without getting fired (The Incident is a slave-driver).  It looks like we have a pretty deep field in the tourney this year with a few strong contenders at all the number 1 and 2 seeds. I’m hoping a couple of the 3′s, 4′s, and 5′s make it deep as well or else I am royally F’d on my bracket. No matter what I’m excited for some buzzer beaters and some epic upsets (so long Syracuse and Duke). Here are the predictions for national champion coming out of BPS

Yukon Fox: Kentucky

Loisaida Sam: Kansas State

The Incident: Syracuse

Obama: Kansas

And Your New #1…

The Syracuse Orange. Shoulda stuck with the Orangemen in my opinion.  Just sounds better.  Anyway with just two more games left; against St. Johns and Louisville; before the Big East tournament, lets just hope they don’t fall into the same scheme that recent number ones have.   Incident’s prediction: Syracuse 2010 NCAA Champs.
